Breast Augmentation
Breast Augmentation (Augmentation Mammaplasty) is typically performed to enhance the size and shape of women's breasts. It is accomplished by surgically inserting an artificial implant under the breast tissue and pectoralis muscle.
Procedure:
- An incision is made either in the armpit, around the
areola, or under the breast. The implant is placed either
behind the muscles between the breast and chest wall or
behind the breast tissue. The surgery usually takes 1-2
hours. Procedure is performed in an operating room as an
outpatient.
