Look younger in 2013 without the knife

There are various types of ways to look younger without having to go under the knife. Here are a couple of options for regaining that young fresh look the alternative way.

Back in the day the only solution to looking younger was having a facelift, and even then the results weren’t guaranteed. Today, the medical industry has advanced to the point where looking young is more efficient and there is less risk involved. The procedure is simple enough and can be done at the beauty clinic instead of having to book yourself into the hospital.

The two popular methods for clearing out wrinkles, frown lines and crowfeet at the edge of your eyes, are to either use Botox, or dermal fillers. Originally Botox was described as a lethal toxin. Today medics have harvested the Botox to make it safe and secure to use for cosmetic surgery.

Botox is injected in small quantities to various areas where a client has wrinkles, such as the forehead. It has the benefit of not affecting surrounding muscles, but only the muscle it is concentrated on. The result is that the muscle relaxes, reducing the effects of wrinkles in that area. Botox has been used in the cosmetic industry for over 10 years and has a good foundation to stand on.

There are a variety of dermal fillers, which can also be used to fight the aging process. The purpose of dermal fillers is essentially to “fill” that part of the face. Over time the natural collagen and hyaluronic acid in the face gradually disappears. This causes the face to sag and have a ‘sunk in’ appearance. The dermal filler is injected into the sunken areas to fill them up again, pushing wrinkles out from the inside. It also replaces any moisture lost over the years, making the skin glow and regain its fresh look.

The best way to keep our youth alive is through good dieting and exercise. We should start looking after ourselves from as young as possible. However for some of us who have left things a little late, cosmetic surgery is coming up with some good substitutions.

Gone are the days where you need to go under the knife and stay for weeks in recovery. These solutions are better for you in the long run. There is some swelling involved in a few options, but nothing compared to the amount of bruising from surgery. It’s not about rearranging your face to look young but just replacing what you’ve lost.
